Hello all again, and thankyou again for all the info was really helpful for us! we are almost done filing the form.

I have the last question about my job section, 

its almost 1 year that im working as freelancer from home, but since i will need to pay taxes for the first year this june, actually i have no papers that will prove my work situation, so should i just put unemployed? if so what will happen when i will start paying taxes at the interview? Thankyou all for the answers!

To me K1 doesn't seem as bad as some people make it sound. 5-6 months isn't really a long wait when you move half way across the world. Inability to work at first isn't awesome, sure, but it's worth it. 

 

We went for K1 because I didn't have touristic visa to be able to visit my fiancé, and due to political reasons it's much more difficult to obtain one these days. If I could come and live with him for 3 months like EU passport holders, I'd probably consider CR-1. But we weren't comfortable waiting for so long and decided to do K-1. 

 

One year and half of paperwork before I can live with him, work and travel is nothing to me personally. Plus, it's not like I just sit there and wait, there's still life happening 😊
