I will be with my fiancé as well for the interview.  I asked my fiancé that question last night and she didn't know how to answer it but she understood when I broke it down.  I said "baby, we both love to sit at home and watch scary movies, we love beaches, we love Korean food, we love to travel, etc" and she said "oh yeah", lol.  Also the issue may be not knowing how to interpret the question and properly answer.  English is their "SECOND" language

Yes, this is true. Then there is the whole deference to authority thing. They have a difficult time speaking up to a person they feel is in a position of authority.

 

Age difference:   23 years...54 and 31....

I think that question may have made her think about it deeper than usual and inadvertently took her out of "interview mode".

I was there earlier and the place was a little packed. I might have even seen your fiancee but wouldn't know for sure.

I think once the Filipina is out of her 20s age gap becomes less of an issue.  

 

With that said,  I know a couple where she was just turning 20 and he was 53 .. they had no issues.  Been married 12 years now.
