On the Affidavit, did your fiance put your A-number that you received on the NOA2 approval letter on your I-134 form? or Do we just leave that blank?

That A-number is going to be used by you for years more immigration until you become a US citizen (if that is your plan).

Hi guys,

sorry for starting a new thread, can anyone point me in the right directions for the follow questions:

I got my NOA2 on 04.01.2019 and my case number from NVC on 19.01.2019.

What’s the next steps to take?

I have collated my police certificate, medical records etc.

When should I book my medical?

I haven’t received anything in the mail from NVC yet.

Id appreciate any help you could give me,

Cheers

Hi, great news.

If you don't mind me asking, when did you send your i130 to the embassy? My husband's date of receipt of i130 application was 11th December.

Many thanks

Thanks for your help!

I managed to get an appointment for Medical on  20th Feb!

Any recommendations on what steps to take before then?

NVC created my case number and shared it to me on 01.19.2019, Do you know how long it approx takes for them to send it to London? When should I start thinking about contacting them about whether it's in transit or not?

Also, I read that sometimes the Embassy in London schedule Interview appointments without even telling the beneficiary or petitioner when it is?

We haven't had any physical communication (mail) since getting the NOA2 on 01.04.19

Cheers again

I haven't booked my interview appointment as of yet, just the medical (Feb 8th) so if you like when I'm done I'll send you a message regarding how it goes etc.

Someone has mentioned this but it's definitely worth checking over the vaccinations and getting them done, as it's seasonal you will need a flu shot too which is worth getting at a boots/local pharmacy as they're a lot cheaper than the doctor who'll do your medical.

With regards to booking your interview appointment and the timeline between NVC - Embassy:

Our case was shipped on the 8th Jan (We called on the 8th and got our case number, then it shipped the same day!) and was received by the 15th. I received a letter to say it was received on the 19th (and another identical letter on the 25th) and a link to go through the steps to book my appointment.

It's worth making a start on your DS-160 (hopefully the website works much better as it often crashes out!) and getting bits in order, but you seem pretty there already.

Hey mate,

That would be amazing if you could drop me a msg and let me know how it went! 👌🏽

Ive got my medical booked in for 20th Feb but I’m going to my GP on the 18th to go over my medical records for a second time to be sure I have everything in order. I’ve already got my vaccination history, but I’ll makesure to get a flu shot too, I heard they want everyone to have the shot up until March or they’ll charge lol.

Wow, that was quick!! I hope mine will be shipped out on 5th Feb, looks like we just missed the last one.

Cheers and let me know how it goes! Good luck!!

I'm probably wrong but I'm sure it's around £40-50 per shot at the medical, which compared to £9 at boots is crazy lol. I managed to get my other few free from my local GP so that's always a plus.

That's a good idea actually, going to the docs a day or two before your medical for a printout, I'll book myself now that you've mentioned it.

Hopefully mate, it seems to go pretty quickly once it's there. With a Feb 20th medical you'll be looking around 11th March for your interview right? We'll be on very similar timelines then.

Does anyone know if we need to fill and submit a Notification of Applicant Readiness Form? I read this in some instructions someone posted online, if we do, has anyone got a link to do this?

Thanks

No. That is old information from when the embassy scheduled the interview and mailed it to the beneficiary. It ceased to be used when online scheduling began.

Did you guys receive anything in the mail at your UK address?  I can't tell from researching around whether something gets sent to you or not....  Thanks!

When London Immigrant Visa Unit receives the file from the NVC,  they mail the U.K. beneficiary a "letter of instruction" (formerly called packet 3) saying they have received an approved petition and he/she can now apply for the visa. It has a copy of the approved petition and says follow the instructions on the embassy website. Link: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

No other snail mail comes to the U.K. address. The visa will eventually be delivered by courier to any address you put when you book the interview and make courier arrangements.
