Our case is still in AP. CO did not kept passport of my fiancee. They returned her passport immediately with 221 G letter

Same here ..AP...I thought only I left , I met there 3 people one lady , one Gujarati guy, one more guy - I think he was from South not sure ....I don't know about others but I am still at  AP.

If he is the same specy guy, then we did enjoyed talking comfortably with each other at Consulate. My Prayers for all those waiting for stamping of visa , May we get our stamped visa passport this week.

I really think it was because he told me he spoke with someone about visa journey! His picture is on our profile. How was your interview?  Did they keep or ask for  your passport yet?

Yes he was wearing Green Jacket that day, and yes they have kept my passport after approving my visa without any other slip than approved slip.

Man you are so lucky,  I don't know why we got a 221g! Im also very confused about the non immigrant vs immigrant thing. They keep switching up the terms, I thought k1 was a non immigrant visa and they told my fiance that it was immigrant.  Idk what their deal is!

K-1 is unique in that it is technically a non-immigrant visa but it is handled by the immigrant visa unit at the embassy. So it goes through the same process as immigrant visas, minus NVC and a few other items. K-1s only make up a small percentage of cases the IV unit handles.

 

Once the IV unit approves the visa and it goes through all processing there, it is handed off to the NIV unit for processing, then back to the IV unit to be issued. As such, you will see it bounce back and forth on CEAC before finally being issued.

That is telling you that your case file is at the embassy and it is now time [READY] to schedule your interview. According to your timeline you are at the stage that the document that you just sited advises you to schedule your appointment. Did you schedule your appointment? Have you completed the Interview? Give us a little more to go on so we can help. :time:

They returned it and gave him 221g for more evidence.  He had to travel to mumbai again and submit it on the 29th
