What do you mean by "sent to local office?"
Do you mean your interview has been scheduled?

AOS typically only gets sent to Local office once local office has space to take ur case for the interview.

If that's the case- congrats!
Ur interview is coming up soon. And since it's been more than 2 years since you got married, you will now get a 10-yr GC, not a 2-yr one

Sounds like you'll get an interview soon (probably in a few months).

Thank you so much! Hopefully!

I was reading somewhere in such cases they don’t even interview is it true ? It is so frustrating waiting that long but now at least case is moving.

Actually I contacted congressman office before they used to tell background Pending but this time they said case is pending in nyc Field Office.

Then your case is at the NYC office and you are waiting for an interview slot. As others have said when approved you will get the 10 yr card. I believe the NYC office is extremely backlogged and people are waiting up to a year for appointments. You can check processing times for that office. Continue to gather proof of marriage while you wait and bring updated documents if needed and any additional proof to the interview.

Not true anymore

Before the new president, there were possibilities that cases can be processed without interview
Now, ALL AOS applications have interviews. Hence why timelines are getting longer

You will receive an appointment letter for the interview. The timing depends upon the backlog of your local office.

You can try info pass appointment at the local office to see if they could tell you a better timeline then posted on the USCIS website.
