In the past year, I have visited my fiance in the US twice, 2 weeks each visit.

Its not possible for him to visit me in SA as he can't get leave. Will this be an issue - I have met his family, but he wont get to meet mine? I live in a differnt part of SA to my fam, and we aren't close. This is our second marriage for both of us, and we are older... family not a huge part of our relationship.

For a fiance visa, the place of meeting is not an issue......Have you thought about marrying inside the US, then returning to SA to wait for CR-1 visa processing?

It really varies by country and customs. Usually just meeting in one place is fine. Don't think South Africa is too harsh on these things.

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

02/03/2017 - Married

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

Then this will be fine for sufficient evidence of meeting in person.
