Tokenfreak is from a notoriously fast field office though. Sacramento could be a whole other timeline of waiting. Have you looked up your LFO's estimated processing times?

I'm not sure if that is even that accurate as when I look up my local office it says this:

11.5 Months to 23 Months and they the case inquire date is now on February 25, 2017

 

But I'm not complaining...I'm very thankful ours went fast so far...just don't know why according to those dates.

A better estimate for AOS time for K-1 can be found through VisaJourney's Timeline search, since it is pretty much exclusively K-1s.

If they ever ask you for bills just tell the truth and explain but do not say anything till they ask.... i answer no to some questions  the IO ask me and it still went well But i have some evidence ready with me though just incase he ask(like copy of affidavit,my husband 401k listed my name as beneficiary, health/dental/vision insurance as family, our phone bills showing both our names)no bank account/credit card and when he ask that i told him no because im not allowed to open an account without ssn...He only double check my application to make sure he got everything they needed for approval.. JUST BE HONEST and DON'T BE NERVOUS 😁😁

I was in the very same situation as Pakistani we have a joint family system. I like with my parents and 2 brothers - I just had my father write a letter that was signed, dated and notarized from Chase Bank. Stating their are no utilities in our names because house is under his name,  and we are on a family business under a business account. And it stated in the letter that father is proving all this so me and the wife can save enough to have our own place down the road without a major bank payment.

 

That was it and few months later my wife ROC (Removal of Conditions) was approved. These immigration services people know how East and South Asians live so their is nothing to worry about.

We are in the exact same situation as you. We are also living with my parents as we save for a house. I'm not too worried about it. We are going to show both credit cards with each of our names. We also have joint health insurance, so each one of us has a card. He joined our family plan for the phone, so I will print out the bill from the website showing all of our numbers together. I was able to add him to my bank account also. I'll also show plane tickets and stuff showing we have traveled together during the time he has been here and photos of our wedding. I wouldn't stress out because none of us have been married that long and even American couples may not have all these things together yet.

Contact your work (human resource?) about the situation and ask for options.

 

If that didn't turn out well, you can always find another type of insurance if it is much better than your work offer.

Just an update. The officer we interviewed with did not look at a single piece of evidence. We never even opened our files.

Same here, he didn't want to see anything. I had to nag him a few times to at least take the copy of our "married filing jointly" tax return.

Ok thanks for the information.  I will have my parents write a letter and get to to sign it too just to be safe.

We have health insurance together too so I guess I can show some medical bills with her name on it and my policy number or something.

I think I can just use a medical bill we have as it has the policy number on it so I think that will work fine.
