Trump's behavior toward Russia has always been a security concern, and the FBI had no choice but to open a counterintelligence operation. It did its job.

For apparently the first time in history, the president of the United States himself was the subject of a counterintelligence investigation. This means that his ties to a hostile power were significant enough to overcome the high bar the FBI would have to clear to investigate any American for possibly being influenced or compromised by another country — much less its own chief executive.

We have also learned that the president has gone to extraordinary lengths to conceal his discussions with an enemy foreign leader not only from intelligence and foreign policy figures in his own administration, but even from the senior officials of his own Oval Office. It should go without saying that he has tried, in this area as in so many others, to wall himself off from congressional oversight.

Interesting, I was going to comment on this paragraph as well.  I see the opinion author of this piece didn't delve into what triggered that investigation as it probably wouldn't look so good to the previous administration.

 

Regardless, push impeachment if you guys want Trump out.  I wouldn't mind Pence in the Oval Office, and he can try for two more terms to be the longest serving president since the ratification of the 22nd amendment.

I am not in Congress.  If they believe this obviously TDS afflicted opinion writer, then the members of Congress need to do their political job.  It is interesting, if Trump doesn't want impeachment, then he should ask for impeachment as the Dems will always be against anything he actually wants.

Find one post anywhere here in which someone claims infowars does not have credibility issues. As does the NYT

 

As for the FBI. Very clear evidence of many top agencies operating with a political agenda.

I believe some at the FBI have been proven to be crooked and they were subsequently fired.  We already discussed the Inforwars item in another thread.  As I said, the TDS that this opinion author displays is full blown when you really look at it.  Regardless, call your Reps and Sens and get the impeachment/conviction moving forward since you believe Trump is a Russian spy.

Most people identify intelligence folks as spies, and hence a counter intelligence investigation as an investigation into foreign spies hence it is a valid inference.  It did seem to be the main theme of this opinion author even if they did not directly call Trump a Russian spy.
