Round-trip airplane ticket is Cheaper - can i use it?

Not possible. I work for an airline (and have done for almost 20 years). If the coupons (industry jargon for booked flights) are not used in sequence the remaining coupons are cancelled. So if you skip the first leg, the rest of the ticket is null and void. Unfortunately part of my job each day is to handle escalated calls from distraught passengers at airports across our network who have done just that and tried to check in to be told the ticket is no longer useable.
