It says the extension is for 18 months. I will be back in a month. So i guess i will be ok

Is this the case number you received at first or the one you received on your biometrics appointment letter? For ROC you'll have two case numbers

But you'll receive another case number once you receive your biometrics notice.

 

If you read your extension letter it should say something like: "Upon receipt of your ASC appointment notice, you can find the status of your case online at www.uscis.gov. To view the status of your case, enter the application number found at the top of the ASC appointment notice. NOTE: The I-751 form type will be listed as "CRI89" under the application type in our case status on-line tool."

I have a biometric notice but there is no additional case number on it.  I only received a text receipt notice but no hard copy yet.

Are they phased out the old site. It's interesting that updates come to myaccounts and the old site may take days to update if at all. I see things in the myaccount not in the old site. Just wondering.

The only thing I found on the old site was the I-130 case number from when I filed 2 years ago.

Interesting... we are about to file my wife's and stepsons ROC come Tuesday. Wondering if I should create a new account now?  If we do, then once created we would have to input the USCIS Online Account Number into that field on the I-751, right?

If you have a myaccount.dhs.gov/ account already, you should not need to open another account.  You would just click add a paper file and enter the receipt number when you get it.

If you only have an old account, you will need to get the newer myaccount.
