K1 Visa Interview Bogota

I need some help here. My K1 Visa for my fiance was approved and submitted to the embassy. They in turn emailed my fiance instructions on getting her passport, documents, etc.

I sent her the money to pay for the visa application so that she can be scheduled for an interview. According to my fiance she paid the visa fee on 11/09/18. I the petitioner am trying to verify that the fee was paid. I cannot get any further information from the embassy. All they tell me is the instructions were emailed to my fiance. 

Can anyone tell me how I can find out if the fee was paid?

I am trying to get her passport number but she has not responded with it. I am thinking that she lied to me.

I don't know how it works in Colombia, but I guess it works the same as in other countries. Once she paid the fee, she'll receive an email that she has paid. Most consulates want to see that page at the interview. There is no way it takes 2 months to process the fee. Also, is she not worried? With all due respect, most of us are hyper once we can book our interview and don't wanna sit around for 2 months waiting for a fee being processed.

Did your fiance contact the embassy? I know in the K1 process, only the petitioner can contact USCIS / NVC. Maybe now it's at the embassy, she's the only one that can contact them? (I did all the contact with the embassy, so I don't have the experience of my husband contacting them)

Did she ever schedule the interview? Cuz you can only do it after you pay the fee. But maybe you can contact the embassy and ask for their help, it's still in their interest to help American citizens. Also, the NOA2 is an expiration date, and if you get your interview within that time, it expires and the embassy returns your case to the USA. So keep an eye on it.

If at this very early stage (where she has not even arrived in the USA) you already have reason to lose trust in her word, then you have bigger problems than just a few hundred dollars visa fee to be honest. When trust is gone, everything crumbles and it is even worse in cross national relationships. I sincerely hope it is just a miscommunication between the two of you and not the beginning of a pattern of lies.

The problem isn't the embassy.  The issue is a trust issue between the OP and the fiance...........

After the visa fees is paid is when you get the confirmation. So you can easily take a picture of the confirmation and send? I’m not sure what’s taking her 2 months. But this seems more of a bigger issue than just visa fee. You need to talk it out with her and see what’s going on.

Consulate will extend it if you havent had the interview by then. Some consulates are backlogged and they can't provide a interview date within the expiration time of NOA2.

How did she make the payment? online or at the bank? If she paid at the bank most likely the payment needs to be validated at the website the consulate provides for it, before that she won't receive any kind of confirmation.

They will extend if you ask them to...

It will depend of the consulate, most of them do it automatically. A few required that you ask for it.

Did you have her passport number by the time you filled the I129F petition?

the embassy case number is the number NVC sent you via email when they sent her case to her country... the 3 letters and a bunch of numbers... you most likely have it...

No, I have not received her passport number. I didn't get any kind of case number once the case was transferred from the USCIS to the embassy. I don't have any information on NOA1 NOA2. This is the email I got from the embassy yesterday when I was trying to find out the status of her interview:

I think she made the payment at the bank. I told her before sending the money that I will take care of it online and pay for it. But her reply was that she will take care of it and asked that I send the money to her.
