NO Receipt Letter, USCIS refuse to schedule info pass

Hello,

On Dec 10th i received an sms notification with my EAC nr. No email.

Since then I haven’t received my extension letter or i797.

I submitted a service request on the 26th and the officer said by the end of that week i will receive a copy of my letter , which i haven’t.

I called again and the second officer said they do not resend letters and to schedule info pass. Ok.

I get a call from an officer to schedule infopass and she says since i made my service request to wait until the 19th for the letter. I told her that i need to renew my DL soon for work and she said she cant schedule me an appointment.

My DL expires next month, middle of feb, and i wanted to schedule an appointment to get an i551stamp.

What do i do? I don’t want to wait until my dl expires and then have to wait for info pass time who knows when they will schedule it, and i cant work with an expired license because i break the law. If i don’t renew it i lose my job.

Your advice and help is greatly appreciated.

Can you go to USCIS website and see if you can schedule it yourself? You already have case number which helps you getting I155 stamp on your passport.

Call them again. They gave me a heart attack many times because they don't know what they're looking at and/or saying.

Tell them you need to obtain a stamp because you don't have proof of your status and your employer is asking for it. They make infopasses when there's an emergency and make it sound like a big emergency.

The whole USCIS doesn't allow to make infopasses on the website anymore, only through the phone.

Maybe because of that. You have to wait at least 30 days before it expires (I think, from what I read here, CMIIW) to get the stamp. My green card expires in a week and they helped me set up an appointment here in Kentucky because of the same reason. The USCIS office here isn't accepting walk-in request and scheduling infopass appointment.

Not true, but they can be total morons about giving them. If there is a genuine need to have one then it generally isn't a problem, but the main issue is you are just another barcode to them. The majority simply don't care how much this impacts peoples lives in a negative manner.

You need to keep checking the infopass site, at odd times - midnight, 5am, 6am, 9am - especially on a monday morning -  until something appears. If you have to travel to a different area/city as that is the only appointment, then do so. Alternatively try a walk in once we hit february.

My honest advice would be to not bother with phoning them - many of them make it up on the spot, many are just plain wrong, and some lie.

CR1 / DCF (London): 2012 / 2013 (4 months from I-130 petition to visa in hand)

I-751 #1- April 2015 [Denied]

April 2015 : I-751 Joint filing package sent fedex next day 09:00am from UK ($lots - thanks).
Jan 2017: Notification that an interview has been scheduled at a local office. Bizarrely still no RFE...
Jan 2017: 2hr wait, then interview terminated before it began, due to moving my ID to another state 2 wks prior. New interview 'in a few months...maybe.'   Informed them that divorce proceedings are underway, but not finalised at this time.
March 2017: An Interview was scheduled - marked as no-show as they didn't actually send out a notification of interview. FML
April  2017: Filed an official complaint with the ombudsman, and have requested Senator & Congressman assistance
August 2017: Interview - switched to a (finalised) divorce waiver. Told that decision will be made that afternoon, but no problems foreseen with my case.
October 2017: Letter of Denial received - reason given as 'I-751 petition was not properly filed'. Discovered ex-spouse made false allegations to USCIS in 2015. No opportunity given to review & refute allegations  - contrary to USCIS policy.

I-751 #2 - Oct 2017 - Mar 2021[Denied]

October 2017: Within 72hrs of receiving denial notice, a new waiver I-751, divorce decree & $680 cheque, sent to Vermont via FedEx overnight 9am priority.
Dec 2019: Filed FOIA request for full A# file
Feb 2020: FOIA request completed - entire A# file received as a .PDF; 197 pages fully redacted, and 80 partially redacted. Don't waste your time!
March 2021: I-751 #2 denied for lack of evidence. No RFE, no interview, and evidence in previous I-751 not reviewed - contrary to policy. Huge errors in adjudication.

N-400 - Feb 2018 - Apr 2021 [Denied]

February 2018: N-400 filed online.  $725 paid to the USCIS paperwork wastage fund

February  2019: Interview - cancelled after a four hour wait due to 'missing paperwork' on their end. Promised Expedited reschedule.

March 2021: Interview letter received, strangely dated after I-751 denial. No I-751 interview conducted. N-400 interview and test passed, given 'cannot make a decision at this time' paper due to the ongoing I-751 nightmare...

April 2021: N-400 denial received citing recent I-751 denial as basis for ineligibility, even though it should have been a combo interview 🤯

I AM JACK'S COMPLETE LACK OF SURPRISE

I-751 Service Motion - March 2021 [Sent via FedEx & COMPLETELY IGNORED by USCIS]

March 2021: Service Motion request sent overnight addressed direectly to field office director, requesting urgent review and re-opening, based on errors in adjudication - citing USCIS policy, AFM and memorandums as basis for errors. This was completely ignored by USCIS.

 I-751 #3 - June 2021 - Jan 2024 [Denied]

IT'S GROUNDHOG DAY

June 2021: I-751 #3 (30+lbs/5000 pages of paperwork) & another $680 sent to USCIS via FedEx ($300+..thanks) ....

June 2021: Receipt issued, card charged, biometrics waived, infopass scheduled for I-551 stamp number ten.....

Feb 2022: RFIE (no, not an RFE, a Request For Initial Evidence) received, for copies of the divorce paperwork that they already have 😑

July 2022: Infopass for I-551 stamp number eleven.....

August 2023: Infopass for I-551 stamp number twelve....

January 2024: Denial received, ignoring the overwhelming majority of the filing, abundance of evidence, and refutation of a provably false allegation. The denial also contradicts itself in multiple places, as if it was written by someone with an IQ <50.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

2024: FML. Seriously. I'm done.

The problem is, you can no longer even schedule an infopass on the site. The infopass scheduling was taken over by the CS at USCIS.

@asls -- Just keep calling until they give you an infopass. Tell them it is an EMERGENCY. If not, try getting a letter from the HR stating that you need a proof of status (addressed to USCIS , whatever it takes) and just try walking in at the time they open. Stay on top of this because honestly, the customer service people have no clue sometimes (well, majority of the time).

Searching places around me, and I'm in a high immigration city, but it shows this now when you go to schedule:

ATTENTION: In two weeks, this USCIS office will stop accepting walk-in requests and scheduling InfoPass appointments for information services. At that time, appointments for document services (such as passport stamps and advance parole) and true emergencies can be made by contacting the USCIS Contact Center at 800-375-5283. USCIS representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern, except on federal holidays.

Note that not ALL cities respond in this manner, but apparently if we wanted an infopass appointment in San Antonio, we would have to drive to Laredo to get it.

It looks like they're rearranging how the field offices work, when searching for Houston field offices, it mentions that if you live in certain counties around Houston, your N-400 will be serviced out of San Antonio.
