Shipping Tools and Other heavy items from the UK to the US

Heya! Now that our visa has been issued (yay!) We're starting to look into shipping my fiance's belongings over. He has most of his clothes here, but he also has somewhat expensive trade specific tools (tools for working on airframes) that he would like to ship over. I was wondering if anyone knows a good, reasonably priced shipping service for items such as this which cannot easily be checked in as baggage on a flight.

Thanks!

Sadly tools wont be cheap to ship. As most go by size and weight. Best bet is to do a google search and get quotes.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

If you send over via shared shipping container, it is based on the space the boxes take up---total volume and the weight doesn't matter.  Keep in mind, each box would have a weight limit so one man could easily lift it.

If you send by any air courier, it is based on weight and would likely be more expensive for heavy items.

I used these people, 1st Move International https://www.shipit.co.uk/

Nothing was broken or pilfered.
