Is it normal to receive notice of interview scheduled this early in the process?

I just received an update from the system that my interview has been scheduled. The actual PDF hasn't showed up yet with the date and time.

I mean, I filed the N400 in November. Got my biometrics taken the week before christmas. And now... interview scheduled.

Well, here's something interesting. And perhaps this might be related, I dunno. But when I showed up to my biometrics, I was the only one there. There was just one attendant, very nice guy, and he told me that there were like 30 plus people scheduled to have their biometrics taken that morning, and I was pretty much the first and only person who had shown up.

I mean, the room was empty. This was the same room I was in the last time I had to get my biometrics taken for my green card renewal back in 2015. And at that time, the room was jam packed with people.

Seems strange.  Was your scheduled appointment like the first one of the day?  Lots of people are waiting for biometric appointments and it's pitiful when you see people not showing up.

He told me I was the first person to show up. My appointment was for 9am. He also told me that there were many others also scheduled for that hour who had not showed up. After I got the biometrics taken, I decided to hang around for an hour. Nobody else came. Perhaps they showed up later, I dunno.

For my husband the N400 process went super quick.   It was only 3 months from the time he sent the application to his Oath ceremony.  He had biometrics with in a month of applying and then he got an interview letter a couple of weeks later.  His Oath ceremony was a couple of weeks after the interview.    Good Luck and congratulations!
