Good tip. What is the public health department? Serious question, I'm not sure how I'd get to mine.

The reason I suggest talking to the civil surgeon is because not all vaccines are "age appropriate", so not all are required (though I don't see why you wouldn't get them anyway--just not necessarily at this stage, if not actually required)

Every state has a few offices. Just look it up on google and it’ll pull up. Then go with with the required vaccines list and the nurse will tell you which ones you need and give them to you free of charge

Thanks. Will call them tomorrow and ask.

Thanks. I sent you a PM !

I see you're in Texas. If you are uninsured, you should be able to get your needed vaccines for $25, or free if you say you can't afford the $25, at your county's public health clinic.

Texas has what is called the Adult Safety Net (ASN) program. It provides vaccines to uninsured adults. The program is available to all adults in the State of Texas, regardless of one's immigration status.

"Immigration status does not affect a client’s eligibility for ASN. Immigrants should be offered the same immunization services that other clients receive in public health clinics."
