Health insurance?

Question!

I am currently self employed, and I recently realized that my fiancee won't have health insurance when she gets here and we get married. I am still covered on my fathers insurance until I'm 26, but she won't be included in that. 

I think I read that she can't qualify for Medicaid for like 10 years or something after she gets here right? Would the only option be to pay for her insurance with a private company? Or I guess I could get a full time job that would provide insurance, or work somewhere part-time that would give me a discount on insurance and keep being self employed as well.

I faced the same dilemma. I bought new immigrant insurance from an online company insu buy if you google new immigrant insurance you should find some links

She can get insurance through the marketplace (Obamacare).  You would have to pay for it, but may be cheaper than going directly through a private company.

She can't qualify for Medicaid until she becomes a US citizen or she stays here at least 5 years as LPR. Also have to meet the income requirement of course
