You have to have met in person within the two years immediately preceding the filing.  So, if you file tomorrow, January 2, 2019, you will have had to have seen each other on January 2, 2017 or more r

It doesn't matter since you have met, what matters is when did you last see each other face to face

agreed, but even for couples with short periods of knowing each other....me and my wife for example. We knew each other short time and I took multiple trips just to see her every so often and paid for

You have to have met in person within the two years immediately preceding the filing.  So, if you file tomorrow, January 2, 2019, you will have had to have seen each other on January 2, 2017 or more recently.

Nope. They are extremely strict on that requirement. Heck, we have even seen K1 denials for someone who was only a few weeks past the 2 year mark of meeting the person they are petitioning for.

have you guys thought of CR-1 better if you have a budget problem? K-1 and time w/o work permit can and will be very expensive. I can tell you from my unemployed wife that stopped working back in Ukraine 1 month before and 7 months here. So no income from her. We manage just fine, but it is not the case for most people

12/28/2018                Interview has been scheduled. Waiting for notification with date by snail mail
