Hiya

 

ive just come to USA beginning of December on CR1 and getting everything in order.. I’m currently attempting to sort my Pennsylvania licence out. I have to supply my i94, I try to get this and I’m told no records found for traveller,... I contacted CBP who told e it’s not a official record and can be inaccurate,. 

 

What do I do, each state is different, I know some states can just swap GB licence but Pennsylvania requires that you start fresh and apply as a new driver.

You are a Permanent Resident, so no I 94.

I am sure there are tens of thousands of PR's in PA with Drivers Licenses.

When an I94 does not reflect an accurate entry, usually the immigrant must go to the point of entry or inspection site and attempt to have them correct the record.

PA allows an immigrant to drive on a valid foreign license for up to one year or upon the expiration date of that foreign license. https://www.dmv.pa.gov/Pages/FAQ Pages/Miscellaneous-Frequently-Asked-Questions.aspx#Q5

 

If you have come on a spousal visa aren't you classed as an LPR with a green card or stamp? These instructions mention clearly what an LPR should have as documentary proof. https://www.dot.state.pa.us/public/dvspubsforms/bdl/bdl publications/pub 195nc.pdf An I94 isn't mentioned among those.

I’m interested in this as I’ll be moving to PA

 

Wonder if the 1 year rule is only for non immigrants?

When i went to the drivers centre he couldn’t find CR1 on the list so he looked up spouse visa which is K3 on that list. 

 

If i print that off and mark LPR and show him

K3 and LPR are very different, a K3, well very few are issued now would have a I 94.

Your GC should be all they need..........you have legal status in the US.

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

My wife went to the DMV last week (we live in PA). She showed her green card and they took that just fine.

Yup. You should be fine this time! And that list makes it pretty clear that it's fine even if you currently only have the endorsed visa in your passport acting as your green card.
