Happy New Year everyone! I just got a quick question before the year ends!!!😬 Currently my fiancee and my self are waiting for the NOA2 which is normal but we are wondering after the K1 visa is approved and issue... Can my fiancee travel to any US Territories? Like for example Puerto Rico, Guam, and so on... I live in the main land in the state of Maryland but my family is from Puerto Rico and it would be nice to get marry over there if is posible. Travel to Puerto Rico is consider a domestic flight however I am not sure about this visa thing,  or I have to wait for the AOS to be approved to travel to Puerto Rico with her.

Thanks for your help and knowledge

Just wondering you know  looking for good places to have a decent honeymoon😁

Again Happy New Year✌🏻🏻

Traveling to and from Puerto Rico is fine for your fiance and soon to be wife. You will stay within the US the whole time so you will be fine. Guam is the same way if you stay within the USA and do not take a flight that connects somewhere like Japan.

US Virgin Islands are fine just don't accidentally wander over to the British or Dutch area

YMMV

Puerto Rico is within the jurisdiction of the State Department's visa coverage. Meaning a direct flight from mainland US to Puerto Rico is absolutely perfectly fine with a K-1 visa. You shouldn't have any issues with that all. Just make sure you have you have your passport on hand. Maybe a state ID too.

Many USA territories are sovereign entities with respect to immigration policy. Just because your fiancee has a visa to be in the USA doesn’t mean she has a visa to visit each territory.

AFAICT, she would not need an AP to return to an actual state from a territory.

Regardless Puerto Rico uses USA immigration policy so no AP or visa needed.
