Beto is the emptiest suit of all time.  Absolutely can't stand the sight or sound of him any longer.

Same here........but he seems to be a Democrat's dream boy.

I would say right now Trump's chances of a second term are probably somewhere around 20-30%.

Let me Refresh your memory, and be ready for this in 2020 again, but this time it will be a landslide win if the economy stays like it is

I've got a good memory, I don't think it needs refreshing. My memory tells me I actually expected Trump to win last time. My memory also tells me I already made my stance clear that Trump made a grave mistake by touting the economy and stock market while he was doing it because now like it or not, he will be seen as responsible when it goes downhill which will be still in his term. So, considering I think there's about a 20-30% chance of a recession NOT happening during his term, I also think the same likelihood applies to him being re-elected.

(as a reminder, I have been completely neutral on the markets for the last 2 years and have stated so repeatedly, after the 2015 crash didn't end up as deep as I expected. I am now gradually beginning to walk away from that neutral stance, as the chickens finally seem to be coming back home to roost).

I am huge Trump fan and was an early Trump Supporter, I didn't expect him to win, I wanted it but him winning was a surprise to me, it was an awesome surprise.

Trump is gonna roll the bones and hitch his re election on the economy, not a bad strategy. I agree whom ever in the Whitehouse is gonna get blamed or get credit for the economy, it is just the way it is and for the most part the President has a lot to do with it

for better or worse, the president has 5% to do with the economy, and takes 95% of the credit(or fall). It's stupid. My advice to him on election day was to sit on his hands so he can climb out of the inevitable rubble as a hero - he didn't listen to little old me, instead attempting to do what his predecessor did and hold the rubble up with his own two hands, well it's crumbling down on him and now he'd be looked at as a whimp. Oh well, c'est la vie.

That's is what the people voting look at from my experience.  Starting with Jimmy Carter.  Good economy re elected, poor economy no re election.

Interesting commentary on Senator Warren’s announcement.

Elizabeth Warren leads Democrats' 2020 contenders -- in bad timing

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/elizabeth-warren-leads-democrats-2020-contenders-in-bad-timing

I was watching MSNBC yesterday and they were doing a long segment on Warren.  Said she hurt herself pretty bad by claiming the Indian Heritage, and also said from polling that she wasn't very popular with the Black vote.   I can see both of those being true.

She  will not be the Democrats Presidential choice, As of today if I had to make a wager I would place my money on Beto as the Democratic choice.

Generally I would agree, but...I would say it is actually more the markets than the economy itself. The two are not necessarily one in the same.
