1.  Presidents are quite often elected primarily based on their views regarding single or a few issues........

2.  The President does not create legislation....that's the job of Congress

3.  Shutdowns have used like this many times.....

4.  Agree.  But wouldn't you rather see a bipartisan agreement to secure our borders?

5.  Yes, they will.....indirectly......but they will pay for it.

6.  Trump is still better than the liar he replaced......would you like me to post Barry's famous lies?

By law the President starts the budget cycle by submitting an initial budget request to Congress. The President was ineffective in getting the job done. In a budget of 4 trillion, he could not negotiate a minuscle amount like 5 billion even with his own party.

I thought he was this awesome dealmaker?  Art of the deal? How about art of the choke.

4. I’d love to see a bipartisan agreement to this and many other issues. Both sides put the party before the people.

5. Your tax dollars and mine will pay for border security. Mexico isn’t going to put that back in our pockets.

Aha. So Doctors Without Borders, Human Rights First, and UPI are "the left"?  Well check mate to them then. I always wondered how the endgame would play out for Doctors Without Borders. Never thought they would get caught in the fools mate.

Doctors with out borders is the Left?

Then the left must be comprised of selfless heros who set aside high paying career opportunities to put themselves in harms way for the vulnerable , the impoverished  and medical needy in a foreign land with little thanks. Those are service above self attributes that we would want in a society.

It's at $16 million now, so well past the $1 billion goal. Only $84 million more to go to reach a trillion.

Years ago, Mexico was a cheap place to go on vacation.  The last 20 years or so with so much US Dollars going back to Mexico from remittance it no longer the cheap place it used to be.

Sir I have no FoxNews where I am at.  I have only CNN to listen to and watch.

Trump has broken The left(including media). My OP is a perfect example of how screwed up the left are.

Recent exchange rate (dollar/peso) is great.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Seems to be great anywhere a peso is taken

Philippines Peso exchange rate is  53 peso to 1 USD

Dominican Republic exchange rate is 48 peso to 1 USD

I haven't been to Mexico since last year when I spent Christmas in Cancun, I think it was like 14 peso to US Dollar, but I could be wrong. Didn't use any peso there since I stayed in an all inclusive area in the Hotel Zone
