Trump -Puts the Media and the Left in Checkmate

Once again, Trump has the media and the left (that’s the same thing, really) in checkmate.

The left says we don’t need a wall at the southern border because the northern Mexico states are our friendly neighbors and there’s no real danger by not having a secure border.

Ok.

Trump says people coming from Central America seeking asylum will have to wait in Mexico to have their asylum claims processed.

The left says this is unacceptable, because the northern states of Mexico along the border are much too dangerous for Central Americans, and the asylum seekers will be exposed to dangerous criminals.

Wait. Wut?

So the people in northern Mexico are friendly neighbors to America, but much too dangerous for Central Americans to stay there.

Which is it?

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

Does the left really say this? Can you link to a source somewhere or is this opinion?

Asylum-seeking migrants to wait in Mexico while claims processed in U.S.

https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-mexico-migrant-caravan-asylum-claims-20181220-story.html

"Some parts of northern Mexico, particularly across the Rio Grande from Texas, are considered very dangerous due to violence and drug trafficking. The U.S. State Department has warned American citizens not to travel to the Mexican state of Tamaulipas, which borders the Texas cities of McAllen and Brownsville.

Forcing thousands of asylum seekers to remain in Mexico possibly for years will put many of them in life-threatening danger, said Jennifer Harbury, a South Texas attorney and human rights advocate."

In the border cities, stay in the tourist areas during daylight hours and be reasonably aware of your surroundings.  Doing that, you'll almost certainly be just fine.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

1 Donald Trump was elected to be President of all the people. Not just a single issue.

2 The president has had two budget cycles to get this done, he has choked both times.

3 The CR is not the process to interject new requests, someone who understands how government works would get this. It just looks desperate.

4 For two years Republicans owned the House , Senate and White house and couldn't get it done.

5 Mexico is gonna pay for it!!!

6 Did  I mention that Trump is a choke artist?

Awesome post

I am on a cruise ship for the week and we only have about 8 channels to watch and of course CNN is on two channels, and no FoxNews.

I was in Philippines for a month in October and of course all hotels/Airports had CNN playing and no FoxNews was available, I am stuck with watching CNN. If I only had CNN to get my news from I might be inclined to dislike Trump, They treat him like the Devil on CNN.

It's gets old watching CNN constantly ragging on  Trump and everything he does

Pretty simple isn't it

Some of the RINO"s GOP members in the congress need to be reminded of this or voted out of office.

CNN can be a useful source for news if you know how to use it. The trick is you take everything they say and assume the exact opposite is true.

They have a lot of hate for Trump.

I don't know if they are still in the butthurt mode from Trump labeling them "FakeNews" or what but geesh,  they are really anti trump.  Or maybe kicking out the CNN reporter, who knows what their issue is.

I used to love to watch CNN back during the Libya invasion, but now of  days it all garbage and left wing slanted news.

1.  Presidents are quite often elected primarily based on their views regarding single or a few issues........

2.  The President does not create legislation....that's the job of Congress

3.  Shutdowns have used like this many times.....

4.  Agree.  But wouldn't you rather see a bipartisan agreement to secure our borders?

5.  Yes, they will.....indirectly......but they will pay for it.

6.  Trump is still better than the liar he replaced......would you like me to post Barry's famous lies?
