I think I will wait till I finish the I-751 , I heard it's really depends on your local office some allow combo interview and fast some very slow and might wait till the decided on 751 from what I read here ..

True, we have to wait until that time anyways in case any policies/procedures change as well. And yes, the specific assigned local office will also play a part in how we proceed when it comes time for the N-400.

I was not aware a perm resident could obtain an unrestricted SS card.  I can spare 2 hours of my life to sit there and wait if it means not losing my job.

My 90 day window opens today. Still did not send the package because I'm missing tax transcript from IRS and state. Waiting for state transcript at the moments so I can send them...

I hope everyone on this thread has smooth sailing with their ROC.

Facing stress here which is my own fault. I am a total idiot. It took me too long to get all our evidence together and I left no margin of error. 

My wife's conditional green card expires Feb 16, 2019. I mailed our I751 Package on January 7th via UPS. It was delivered (maybe) on Jan 9th. The UPS tracking address is not identical to the address I shipped it to. There is no reference to USCIS on the tracking, and the delivered to address says "Suite 40" when it's supposed to be "Suite 400" There are other little differences between the label address and tracking delivered to address ....   

I am an idiot for putting us in this position because missing the 90 day deadline is grounds for deportation and it appears the only excuses they take are death in  family, in hospital... Shipped to wrong address is not a valid excuse. 

I did include a G-1145 form but only put e-mail. Really stupid....I should have put cell phone because many are getting text messages but not e-mail notifications.  

I made a huge mistake thinking ROC was an easy process and got caught short on time. I know the chances of us getting the extension letter before the Green Card expires is just about zero, so my wife will be out of status. Coupled with having questionable proof of delivery, I am the poster child for how NOT to do the ROC.  

Hopefully it's all worry over nothing but I have no one to blame but myself. If it's getting within 2 weeks of the 2/16/19 deadline and I have no response to the G-1146 with the assigned case number I am going to submit a new I-751 with all the same documentation and send them another check. If I blow $680.00 bucks for nothing that's better than a deportation for filing late.
 

Sorry for venting. Y'all don't need this negativity. I will try to be a productive participant in this thread.

You are fine.  Nobody will get deported.  Stop worrying.  You will probably get an email message anytime now.

@Eric The Wait If you put the correct address on UPS shipping label you should be fine. You can monitor when they cash your check - this way you'll know if they got it or not.

Yes, we can. I was able get an unrestricted SS card soon after getting my (conditional) GC. We are required to update our SS record anytime there is a change in our work authorization status (Non-immigrant work visa/EAD -> GC -> US Citizen). Here is more information on this:

One more point: I am not sure how SS folks would react if your GC is expiring soon. I did this soon after I got my GC.

They get out the extensions pretty quick don't they? But I 100% agree with you on the least worrying stage! The worst part was doing the interview in our native land - that was scary AF! But this is all plain sailing if you have nothing to hide why would they not issue it! But for the easiest process, i don't see why it should take a year smh!

Really dumb question (because I’m overthinking):  what did everyone do for questions that are N/A when you can’t enter N/A or 0 as per instructions?

 

Not all the fields are letting me enter something.  If I put N/A in the field, then the rest of the question doesn’t let me fill in.  Should I write it in ink after I print, or is it common sense that if I put in N/A in the main field, than the sub fields can be blank?

 

I should probably finish this tomorrow when my brain isn’t mush from a long week at work.

They've been taking 3-4 weeks to actually send the extension letters (some have had longer delays than that).  Check cashing and e-notification with case number came around the one week mark.

Nope, take a few deep breaths.  1 week has been perfectly normal, and you can definitely bet they're not working weekends.

My ROC package was also delivered on Jan 9. So far no e-notification(text/email) or cashed check. I think 1 week is an average time before any update.

How did you send your package (USPS/Fedex/UPS) ?
