We had a liberal female Dallas County Sheriff named Lupe Valdez try to pull this same stunt in Dallas.

Texas passed a law that if you don't follow the rules set by Texas Legislature then you will be arrested and jailed, that changed her tune.

Then she retired and tried to run as a Democratic Governor against the beloved Republican Gregg Abbott, which she had no chance to win.

She will now fade into the shadow, and I see Gregg Abbott having a Presidential running option in the future, I just don't know how the general public will accept him being in a wheelchair.

FDR did ok

Yes,

I can't carry my gun in California, even though I have Texas LTC.  Texas will allow people in California to carry in Texas with a LTC, they will even allow them to carry a pistol in their car if they conceal it without a LTC

Funny that California gives Driver Licenses to Illegal aliens and it is valid in Texas.

Sure seems like something is backwards and wrong

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

As much as I disagree with this sheriff they are within their authority to do this. The sheriff is the highest ranking law enforcement officer in their county even above the feds. The reason for that is they are elected to their office. Technically this sheriff does have the right to remove ICE agents from facilities they are in charge of. They do not have the right however to aid any illegal aliens in any way other than provide for their basic needs while they are incarcerated. Anything above that is a felony under federal law. While the sheriff does have the authority to remove ICE from their facilities I think it is a dereliction of their duty and voters should remove them. Being that it is California I doubt this will happen.
