Is everyone north of Rabat getting the the DS? What triggers them giving this to people, do you know?

poor @Derik-Lina's wife was given one at her interview and he said she's from Fes and it seemed mostly everyone that interviewed the same time as her that were not from that Region were approved. It appears it has something to do with the terrorism act(s) that took place in the region or by people from the region.

This is too much, really it is, I am on the precipice of some sort of emotional breakdown. This news has definitely saddened me, I feel terribly for him and for those of us who will go thru interviews in the future.

Does a DS mean that while they investigate that we can't go marry and file CR1? Is the process completely halted until its over? Too f**ki*g much .

I don't believe it  would stop you from being able to marry but if you did get married while your fiancé was in the midst of AP, the K1 would need to be cancelled and you would have to start over from scratch with the spousal visa. This  knowledge is based on what I've read from other posters here in the past. Someone feel free to correct me if it's wrong.

What city is your fiancé from? I'm sure you've mentioned it but I don't recall.

This is part of the immigration process, nothing to do with Marriage etc.

new This basically part of the AP process, so a marriage terminates the K1, CR1 filed and then issue comes back up again when AP is reached as part of the CR1.

it has to do with the biggest terrorists group that was arrested in Fes (2017 11 groups taken down)

but also the city of Fes is protesting and revolting against the King

new issues have risen now as 2 woman (1 from Denmark and other from Norway)  were killed by terrorists this week

they went  there to do some mountain climbing

To OP

sorry to say but this does not help any of us just tell your finance to stay clear of any groups causing problems

I read about this yesterday. Some sad and scary stuff... I'm glad they have already arrested the men responsible for this. One of the murders was even caught on surveillance camera.

they can still be applied for again?

You have a right to petition, just a privilege to receive the visa. This way they can continue to receive fees for petitions that will never result in a visa.
