K1 approved end of November. I have not seen an update that it has been sent to NVC.  Do they always update to show this?

And there won't be.  Nvc is not in the process anymore

YMMV

If you look at the OP's timeline, you can see that their petition was approved, not their visa.

Ah I see.  My bad

Uscis will do no further updates.   Once Nvc has assigned an embassy case number you can track on ceac.state.gov

You should start calling NVC 2 weeks after approval to get your NVC# and after you get that over the phone you plug NVC# on this website https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA== to check your status

also you can start filling out DS-160 form in the meantime.

AOS/EAD/AP ->: 11/29/18 - NOA1: 12/04/18

Biometric NOA:  12/14/18  Biometric Appt: 12/26/18

Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview: 1/16/19

EAD/AP approval: 3/18/19

AOS Interview Appt: 6/4/19

AOS Interview: 7/10/19

AOS Approved: 7/23/19

GREEN CARD IN HAND: 7/26/19

Your file was approved at the end of November from USCIS. USCIS then sends your K-1 approved application to NVC who is responsible for assigning the "case number". You call NVC (see information below) to retrieve your case number (CN). Then once you have the CN go to ceac.state.gov and select "immigration" and then add your case number. The results will tell you "at NVC, in transit or received or ready". "Ready" will tell you that your case is at your embassy and is ready for your interview. Since I don't know what embassy you are using from your incomplet profile it's hard for me to help you from here. Follow the instructions below to correct that void.

Checking on your embassy case number from NVC:

It will take 7 - 10 business days for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in there system and produce your case number.  Call 7:00 am eastern time for shorter wait times.

1-603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888. Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

1 for English, then 7 (or 5, but I would go 7 as they would tell you if you should call 5 instead of after they receive your case.)

Best time to call:

Right after they open which is around 7:00 am US Eastern Time, Mon-Fri. I was always able to have the phone answered after the first ring if I called right at 7:00 am.

Correct your profile

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks
