UAE K1 visa appointment

Hi!

I'm quite confused with how I should proceed with booking the visa appointment at the Abu Dhabi embassy.

The Abu Dhabi website (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ae/iv) has the following option:

I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment.

This is followed by some forms and a payment of $265.

I have not received any such letter yet. However, my case status on CEAC (https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx) has changed to READY 4 days ago. Dates from the CEAC site:

Case Created: 20-Nov-2018
Case Last Updated: 13-Dec-2018

Should I keep waiting for a letter (packet 3?) from the embassy or can I go ahead and schedule an appointment on the website. Another concern of mine is that at no point in the K1 application did I ever provide my own email address as it was never asked. The DS-160 application was the only place I provided my own email. My petitioner was contacted via email when the I-129F was approved and transferred to NVC, but not me directly. Will packet 3 be emailed to the petitioner as well? Also, does the embassy physically mail any documents to the beneficiary (me) or is it email only now?

Yes, your petitioner will receive details with the Packet 3 in the email. All the information, including proper steps are in that packet.

To clarify, Packet 3 is just a link to the government website where you will find all the info.

Don't do anything in advance until the case is ready at embassy and the embassy sends you an email to the petitioner to follow these steps for Scheduling interview, Medical exam, police clearance etc.

I have not been able to find much on AD but here is what I have https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-AE/niv. You should go to your sub-forum website here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/97-middle-east-and-north-africa/ and here is a recent thread for some who are processing a K-1 and their recent experience (see below). Also, more info here from your portal http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=United
