Not my job, all I am saying is that a group plan could be created offering discounted rates based on combined enrollments, much cheaper than pay as you go. Solves the pre-existing concerns for participants

The actual poor get free medical for the most part.

 

Go to any hospital in my area, we have public hospitals that are subsidized by property taxes, that is where the illegals go for free medical, they go there for a runny nose to having a baby.

Where I am Hospitals are not subsidised by Property taxes, well we do not have a Hospital in my County, or a Doctor.

 

Now there is a payment to the Ambulance which was supposed to mean those that paid it would not be charged, well you can guess what happened to that.

 

I forget the exact number but Medicaid is what, less than 16K? So less than the minimum wage.

That's fine in theory, and all, but outside of an Ann randian utopia, the reality as we can all no doubt see, is that the private sector is significantly worse at managing health care, compared to every single developed countries health system.

I do not like the US system, some individuals make it work, many do not, I have plenty of horror stories of both.

If that's the case answer my question. Name a single government program that has been managed in an efficient and cost effective manner.

What do you know of the medical liability indemnification for the NHS? In a brief reading, it appears that people cannot sue individual doctors for malpractice, but rather they sue the NHS.  I am not sure how that works, but it does seem it would free the individual doctors from paying for very high malpractice insurance coverage.
