Hello everyone, I'm just wondering if anyone else's employment authorization is taking as long as mind. I know the USCIS processing page says 4-6 months, but there are so many cases that have been approved which were filed after ours. Our receipt data was 7/16/18.

I'm getting pretty nervous over here.....

I just applied for my EAD last month, and am hoping it doesn't end up taking as long. I hope you're aware that you can expedite your EAD (if you've completed biometrics), with a job offer. I hear that once you put in an expedite request, you usually get the EAD in hand in 3-4 weeks. I plan on doing this soon.

you have to have a written  job offer and it is no guarantee. it can HELP but there is no promise, and the amount of time for it to be approved can vary widely.

My receipt date is June 21, 2018 and I'm STILL waiting for the combo card! Crazy thing is that on Oct 5th I got a letter stating my EAD and AP were approved AND I also received my SSN in the mail, but still no combo card. This is so frustrating.

Back on 2015, I remember that you should receive EAD within 90 days after the biometric appointment. Due to the number of applicants in these days, You should wait up to 6 months as it is stated in their processing page. If the 6 months pass without receiving it,  you should contact them to know what’s going on.

Currently, most of applications take longer time to process.
