My Fiancee's interview is next week. If approved do they tell her the same day? Also how long from approval to actually getting the visa and is it mailed or do you go pick it up or what? This is in Manila Philippines

They may or may not tell her if they will recommend the case for approval. She can ask them as well. If she gets a welcome to the US pamphlet and they hold her passport, that's a good sign.

Nothing is official until they issue the visa, which generally takes a few business days if there are no missing documents or other factors to delay the case.

The passport with the visa will be sent via 2GO. She can register her delivery address via the website afterwards.

Just sharing...applicant was told visa is approved and was given a white slip stating visa will be delivered within 7-10 working days; status in ceac website states that visa is issued..until now, still waiting since interview date of 11.23.18

in a white paper there is a number that the CO will tell the approved applicants to call when they get home to confirm their delivery address..as what i know there is a limited days that the applicants can pick up their passport and DONOT OPEN packet in 2go outlet (where they chose it to be delivered) if they dont pick those in 2go ,2go will send it back to embassy.

if the time frame is already passed the applicant must call the embassy and ask about the packet..it wont hurt to make a call.

the applicant did but was informed that there was no tracking number indicated thereof.  so the visa center agent just submitted an escalation request for status.

The CO may tell her APPROVED during the the interview, but that is not the actual approval.  Until you see ISSUED on the CEAC website the application is not approved .. after that it can be another 7-10 BUSINESS days for delivery of the visa.

It's a cr1 visa and it was in Manila. 2go finally says it's in transit as 12-18.
