and then we do not agree ... acceptance of cash to forgo asylum shows the true motivation of attempting the border to be financial not persecution based

that sounds like common sense to me

feel free to walk away when confronted with logic  ....

then there is no basis for an asylum claim, no need to process them, their request for payment negates their claim to persecution and by extension request for asylum

I read it...and I throw it in the trash can.  The President has every authority to use the military to stop non-citizens from entering the US if they disregard our law......anyone who believes otherwise is ignorant of the Constitution.

It's funny how so many pretend these illegals have a legitimate asylum claim. Even  the most fringe MDL know it's a con. Almost as bad an acting job, as the senators who gushed "We believe you Dr Ford.

The "Posse Comitatus Act" was created to prevent the military from being used to police Citizens and residents inside the US.

yes I did read the article, what makes you think I did not?

His assessment of the article is correct, the military is not there to enforce law, but to augment those who do have the authority to do so, no violation of Posse Comitatus, do you honestly think that some left leaning judge in California, New York or Massachusetts has not self-immolated over their lack of ability to spin this to their advantage?

Just like when active duty assits in natural disasters in support role.

Now if it was a matter of citizens inside our borders rioting, I believe Marshall law has to be declared, otherwise the Sates Natl Guard is used on states orders.

LBJ pulled a slick one , when put the natl guard enforcing segregation on Federal Orders

define "Invade"

There are several definitions, some of which include the word military (Wikipedia modified their definition of the word in the past month).  But here’s one:

2 [transitive] to go into a place in large numbers, especially when you are not wanted Every summer, the town is invaded by tourists.

The Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court just chastised the President of the United States ( unprecedented) last week

America doesn’t have “Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judge,” Roberts told the Associated Press, which also noted this to be the first time the Republican-appointed justice had ever, even mildly, criticized Trump.“What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them,” Roberts expanded upon in a statement. “That independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for.”
