if the caravan is truly made up of asylum seekers, why the willingness to return home in exchange for a payment? Does 50K insulate them from oppression, I think this actually shows the intent of the bulk of the migrants. Offer the 50K to leave their claim, use that as their asylum interview (acceptance of cash to forego asylum process), deport them and charge a 50K processing fee. Weeds out the ones trying to profit from the caravan as opposed to actually seeking asylum.

"Dear Caravanners:  This is like the boy who murders his parents and then demands alms because he's an orphan.  Please go take a long walk off a short pier."

If we do not like the law that provides for folks to request asylum, then change the law.  That is Trumps real goal.  He wants to rile folks up over the current law.

I spent 4 Christmases in Germany, 2 in Korea, 1 in Panama ... I was assigned so I did what I was ordered to. You do understand the concept of a volunteer military
