Mexico can and should pay for the wall.......Just tax every dollar wired back to Mexico's economy...

If you decided to build a fence around your house would you make your neighbor pay for it?

I can't disagree, it is just that the President insisted, and the president seems to have God-like stature in this forum.

Just this year the President said "the wall is the wall, it has never changed or evolved from the first day I conceived of it.

Which is an interesting statement for him to say considering he has multiple design ideas for it? Wasn't one of them some kind of seethrough wall? And another idea was to put solar panels on a wall? He is an interesting man for sure...

If they were allowing poachers to gain access to my property, absolutely.

You can't make them pay for the fence if they don't want the fence. Just as Trump can't make another country pay for something he wants.

Yes but I am a cheap freeloader who expects that my irrational fear of the neighbors kids throwing a ball into my yard justifies a near pathological view of my accountability in the matter.

Actually it was sarcasm.

Please elaborate on that.

How exactly are going to make them pay for it?

It's BS like this that ruins any chance we have for interesting, intelligent discourse and debate on these forums.

Illegal immigration is down because everybody is claiming asylum when they are caught by CBP.

To be clear, the ones being caught in the act are going down.  No way for us to know how many succeed in crossing without getting caught.

The wall is a needed tool to help reduce /stop illegals.  The wall will pay for itself by reducing handouts and benefits to all of the illegals it stops. Once the wall is built then we can move on to cracking down on employers, resolution of DACA people, visa overstays, fraud etc.
