Form I-134 Affidavit of Support

Would anyone know by chance if a wet signature is needed for the I-134 in Packet 3 or a photocopy is acceptable by the consulate?

That may depend on the consulate. Mine (Frankfurt, Germany) was very explicit about requiring "original completed form with original signature".  Check your consulate's official instructions.

It's best you contact your Embassy through email to determine if you need a "wet" signature. Each embassy is different.

I’ve sent an email, I was just hoping someone would give an answer before Monday or whenever the embassy responds.

 

My fiancé has everything and the hard copy is on its way so I just wanted to know if he could send it with the photocopy I’ve sent him.

I agree it should be,  but not all consulates appear to see it that way

Near your picture there is a link for your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture  you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

 

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

 

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

 

If you are so inclined you can PM others from Spain and ask for help on your question.

I sent a photocopy. and already booked my interview for December 18.

He will be fine!

It was not required! But suggested to bring the hard copy at the interview 👍🏻

So they do not need the original wetink signed I-134 form?

A printout of the scanned I-134 form that's duly signed by the petitioner is acceptable?

Yes, for the US Consulate Madrid, they do not require a wet signature and a photocopy will suffice. Someone else’s had actually told me they didn’t require it and I had already emailed the embassy, which they responded back with a photocopy being acceptable.
