Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC

Please read everything below and refer to it throughout your NVC journey, whether this is your first month at NVC or your third. :bonk:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before posting questions, please read the wiki Saylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!
If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view Saylin's flowchart here.
Yes this thread was created by our great Queen Saylin and the knowledge is still going forward. This thread I pray stays alive and well as many who have gone through the process or still going can chime in and help and assist.
If you're wondering about time frames, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process smile.png That means if you are on this thread WE expect you to have an up to date timeline.
And once you've got a case complete, please join the case complete/interview thread started by me, Dwheels76 on (currently December 2018 thread),
Hello Everyone! I’m a CR1 , My PD date is March 15th , I was in Nebraska Service Center. I was approved on Monday 11/26. Did not receive a text message or email from Uscis about my approval. The app and the old and new websites are not updated , they still say case received. I found out because of approval notice in the mail yesterday 11/30! So excited to start with NVC
Question :
1. Approximately how long do I have to wait for a case number ?
2. When can I start calling them for a case number ?
It is taking around 7-10 days for USCIS to forward your case to NVC . Another 7-14 days for NVC to receive your case and then another 5 weeks to get your case number.
Yes you can call them at 603-334-0700 Press 1 for English Then in next menu press 5. Have your USCIS case number ready. However, Just wait at least  8-10 days before calling because it takes time for USCIS to send your case to NVC. Call them anytime from 7 am EST to 12 Midnight EST. Also 25 - 30 min wait is common on phone lol.
Yeah. We will reach our Goal one day. No doubt :D It's very frustrating to wait that long but that's our only option. Once USCIS approves It should only take about 3 Months I guess for interview depending on Load of cases at Applicant's Embassy. In short, the worst and the most frustrating wait is over once USCIS approves case lol.
