Ok. Thanks. I have a week and still saying case approved! Maybe they will send it by next week!

I didn’t get an “approved” notification, but we did get a notification saying that it had been sent to the NVC. This was 01/16 and we’re also at the TSC. From my understanding, you may or may not get a letter saying that they have sent it. I would just wait 2-3 weeks and then call the NVC!

It took TSC almost a month to send our case to NVC. We were approved 11/28 and even though the NOA2 I received in the mail two days later said "we have forwarded your petition to the NVC... ” they didn't actually send it until 12/21/18. I called NVC 3 times and finally the final time I called they stated they received it on 1/3/19. Then they told me it would take up to 8 weeks for a case number. All this waiting is torture!!!

mine is Potomac, yes  it take almost a month for them to received and wait at least 4 weeks for case number and in total that is 8 weeks that why they said 8 weeks for them to received, because if they say 4 weeks people will be calling them like crazy lol so they smart to say 8 weeks.

oh yeah people like use while we waiting get all the documents ready because once you get your case number everything will go by fast .

I don't know if this is entirely true. Many people have reported waiting 6-8 weeks for a case number once NVC has confirmed receipt of their file and in rare cases, longer than 8 weeks.

My case was received one week after it was sent and I am now in my 6th week since it was received by NVC and still no case number. Every week I called and they say It takes 8 weeks.

It’s depend on when they receiveD it.

for example if your case arrives at the NVC with in one week yes wait up to 8 weeks, if it arrives with in 2 weeks wait put to 7 weeks, the later it arrives at the NVC the sooner you get your case number.

Noticed the different with other people case who doing this stage.

i noticed that.

i want to make a Facebook group, if you are interested inbox me your number thanks.

I realllllly wanna believe this is the case but this is my first time hearing about this. Do you have any actual examples? If I'm going by what you're saying then I should be getting a case number in like, a week. If it's not true I would be looking at early March for a case #.

When did you get approved and when did they received it?

I will be getting my case in the middle of March.

Petition approved: 11/28/18

Notification that USCIS actually sent file to NVC: 12/21/18

NVC stated they received the file on 1/3/19. Told me takes 8 weeks from that date to get a case number. So I'm not expecting to receive a case number until end of February, early March the latest

I hope you're right for my sake, I've just obtained some of my husband's civil docs while I'm visiting him and since they're only valid for 3 months I want to get started on submitting them to NVC as soon as possible.

Hey everyone,

just recevied an email from NVC with my case number and instructions. Not sure if it was because of the expedite, Jantacza. But I appreciate you giving me information about it. Took exactly 7 weeks to get the email. I’m guessing a lot of you will be next now because you’re right behind. I will continue to fill everyone in on what I’m doing during the process. Happy days are coming.

Hello guys it's been over month since the NVC has sent our petition to Lima,Peru and we haven't heard anything. Is there anything I can do? There's also an expiration date on the petition for March.  - Thank you

I’m assuming you mean to the embassy in Peru? On the Case tracker, what’s your status? Does it say “Ready”? Also, did NVC schedule you an interview?
