Officially mailed my documents to Phoenix Lock box today.. Finally on board for  ROC Journey!!

Hello everyone

 

Im filling earlier Jan but wanted to see where everyone is at. Im in NYC, heard the waiting time is around 18months now, is that the case with you guys too?

 

Also, what other form do I need to submit together with the i751? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

 

Can't believe it has been 2 years and Im back in this game!

My wife was interviewed for I130 and then it was approved.. I think we qualify for not to interview but eventually if we file N400 we have to do interview anyways!

Check cashed as of this morning! Arrived at Phoenix lockbox on Wednesday the 5th (yes, they were closed, but I received confirmation that it was delivered and signed for so who knows...). Looks like they're pretty much going day-by-day. 

 

On the other hand, I tried to call and get our case number, but the woman on the line said I had to have my husband with me I thought I would be allowed to call, too, since technically we are "filing jointly" even though he is the official petitioner... Shoot!

My check got cashed just now. My package was received by Arizona on Dec 05. How long does it take to get receipt number or acknowledgment number from USCIS?

According to the October filers, the paper copy of NOA1 is delayed 50+ days right now. Are you the LPR or the USC? The LPR can call in to USCIS and try to ask for a case number over the phone (or you can call together).

Hi @afortunada Thanks for reply. I am LPR. My GC is expiring after 35 days (January 18).  I called USCIS now. They do not have ticket number generated yet. Asked me to call after 2-3 days. They said it may take up to 30 days for them to mail NOA1. I am wondering what if I don't receive mail within 35 days, in that case I will have to leave USA.

NO, you will not have to leave the USA.  You will still legally be here.

Uhm, silly question but how do you know which office will be dealing with your case? Is it based on region?

There is hope. A bunch of us, October fillers and November fillers received the extension letter in the mail yesterday from LIN.

Enter your zip code and it will tell you what field office has jurisdiction over your case. 

For now your case is at a Service Center.

My husband and I tried calling USCIS last night, and she was able to verify everything about us but said there is no case number... 🙄 I find that hard to believe, but oh well! It's not like waiting for the I-130 case number 😉 She said if we don't receive the NOA1 in 30 days that we should fill out the form online about not receiving a document in the mail, so we'll see!

If they cashed the check, meaning they accepted the petition a receipt number was generated. Call again.

18 months seems to be about the case, unless you apply for N-400 when you become eligible, and then the wait gets extended as the two are usually processed together? I think that's right...

 

Anyway, you need to send Form I-751, Form G-1145 (if you want enotification, HIGHLY recommend doing this), a colored copy of the front and back of your green card, and all the evidence for the bona fides of your marriage https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-751instr.pdf
