What is the difference between these 2 items below?  We only have a "License and Certificate of Marriage" form from the Probate court.  Thanks.

  • One (1) original or certified true copy and four (4) photocopies of the Marriage Record (original will be returned)
  • One (1) original or certified true copy and four (4) photocopies of the Marriage Certificate or Contract (original will be returned)

That would be your certified true copy ... include number of copies required by the consulate.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

That is the only thing I have, but the site here:  http://www.philippinesusa.info/philippines-dc/consular-services-dc/faq-dc/#marriage  on numbers 3 and 4 mention a Marriage Record and a Marriage Certificate or Contract.  Each needing the original and 4 copies a piece.  Do I only need what I have or is there another paper I am missing I need to get?  I believe the one I have is only the Marriage Certificate? 

 

The attachment wasn't mine.  I found the example on the internet. I knew better then to attach my personal information.  But thanks for the heads up.

If what you have is stamped by the county as certified or of that wording that is what the consulate will accept.    (ATTESTED by the country)

Also on this line here: Four (4) photocopies of additional proof of Philippine citizenship of the Filipino spouse/s (greencard, valid visa, notice of action, work permit, dual IC)

 

Do I need to submit all this or will just the visa be enough? She doesn't have a greencard yet, but we do have NOA for the K1 petition and the AOS I can submit if you think it would be a good ideal to include them.

 

Also, does the cover letter need to be from her or from me and her?

If you haven't filed the I-485 yet to get the I-797 Notice of Action, nor have the green card, you will have to make copies of the visa in the passport

 

As for the cover letter, your wife is the Philippine citizen ;)
