Trump is reportedly getting ready to put Venezuela on the state sponsors of terror list

It's been in the news for the past weeks, I'm Venezuelan too and I have the same concern,

I haven't heard that at all from any legitimate sources at all, mostly from sites that spread gossip and rumors to get hits

I understand, however, due to the recent events with venezuelan goverment and more sanctions coming every few months I strongly believe it can happen. So the question is IF it happens, what would it mean for people going through immigrant visas?

I don't know how much to trust in this sources but there's some information to backup our worries.

At this point in time honestly I would not worry about the everyday citizens trying to get visas from Venezuela. This administration has been really trying to ensure that they can hit the government without trying to affect the overall populace. 

 

So I would expect to see more of the same in that regard.

Definitely not good news if this goes into affect, per the State Department: 

 

“All applicants who are citizens of designated State Sponsor of Terrorism countries must be interviewed by a consular officer. Interviews are required, and, therefore, cannot be waived. Applicants may apply for nonimmigrant visas.

 

An exception to the requirement for an interview may be made at the discretion of the consular officer in cases of A and G visa applicants (except for A-3 and G-5 applicants, who must be interviewed).”

So what exactly are we doing in Venezuela to cause the many problems that they have?

Please, as a venezuelan citizen that has lived in Venezuela during 30 of my 32 years and after watching the country fell apart, I ask you PLEASE enlighten me about how the USA is the problem. Maybe you know better than I do.

Guys, it doesn’t matter, your personal opinions don’t matter, if Trump does in fact put this into affect, it’s going to create a lot of problems for immigration processes and I’m trying to find out what options there are and if anyone has any insight.

I don't get how are those bad news... It says that we can apply but interview is required. Pretty much same process we are doing now.
