Hi guys, my fiancé interview appointment for k1 visa is on dec 11. The consulate in baghdad, Iraq sent us an email with the instructions and checklist. However, they have asked my fiance not to take the medic exam prior to the interview. They said they’d instruct him during the interview.

Every embassy is different in how they handle their processes so I wouldn't have a concern if they are asking you to wait. Besides, they have the gold so they get to make the rules. So I doubt you would do it any differently then what they ask now would you?

Dear Noor there was no way for me to know if they were delyed because the guy posted on Facebook that he did the interview and wanted to know the place where he can do the medical exam.  I think they do it in this order because of people going through AP and they don't want their medical exam to expire before they get the visa. So once you get a permission to do the medical exam it's a good sign of getting closer to get the visa. Try to get all of the documents even the ones you think it's not required. My prayers and good luck to you.
