Agreed. Plus peace of mind about your status, and freedom to get a job anywhere else. I'd file for AOS now (assuming it wouldn't put me in financial hardship).

If you were to file now, you most likely would have an interview around a year from now. You may get an interview a little sooner, or 2+ years later. There's no way to know for sure as it depends on the case and IO.

Few cases (10% of them) are taking 2+ years at that office, but it does happen.

Of course you have to consider that there may be changes in the AOS process between now and when you decide to file if you wait to be eligible for a 10 year green card. Obviously there are certain aspects of the AOS process that need changes in law to enact and take time, however there is a constant stream of executive actions that alter certain aspects of the process and requirements.

 

Just something to consider.
