You mean phone bill and insurance and bank account back home ?

Means joint names on documents.  Bank accounts are difficult but are you listed as a beneficiary on insurance or retirement?  Is she listed in yours?  Wills and POA are legal documents that would list each others names if one is to pass before the other.

Trips are helpful but you'll need more.  Phone call detail to show consistency in communication could also be helpful but something of the above in addition would be more beneficial.

  • If u married now for more than 2 years,  she should have applied to IRS with form W7 for ITIN so u could add her to tax returns for the last 2 years
  • Getting ITIN allows you to add her (with a POA from her) to your bank account
  • these are the types of proof they are asking for (commingling of assests
  • if u can not supply this type of proof of a real marriage,  you need to do the above for 2018 taxes and then refile your CR1

I didnt know that I can add her in my tax since she is not in usa and dont have social security number

I have my husband listed as a beneficiary on some of my insurance plans (not all will allow without ssn).  HSA was easy but the life I had difficulty.

Tax he is listed as spouse but filed separate so no ssn needed I marked NRA in the ssn box.

you have her fill out form W7 (Adil did when he was still in Morocco)  she has to sign it unless you get a POA from her

you send that form in with your 2018 tax returns (this is the only time u can apply for the ITIN)

then u claim her on your tax returns

many advantages as you are now filing married joint and the refund is bigger
