Favorite resale shop has everything half-price on Friday -- plan to go and search thoroughly.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

This is sad, Y ma'am.  This "death by a thousand cuts" sucks.  It's more immediately shocking, but easier to come to grips with, closings all at once, like Montgomery Ward (Monkey Wards) did.

 

Had Sears not closed the two stores within reasonable range of me (both high-volume, too), I'd have done everything to try to give them my business.  Had all the Sears Hardware stores not closed a year ago, I'd have bought all our applicances from them for our kitchen remodeling.  Sorry, but for some things, gotta have brick-&-mortar stores.

We were eating Turkey dinner and my buddy went to Wally World to get that deal, he came back empty handed said he didn't think they had more than a handful of those TV in stock. I sent him $400 to get me one too, he came back empty handed

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.
