Hi!

I came here with K1Visa and submited all documents for Adjust status, EAD and travel parole since mid of July. I also requested the expedite EAD and worked with Ombudsman regarding EAD request. Today it is 120 days for waiting with hopeless. Would like to have any guidline when I should get EAD and Travel Parole? I got an job offer, they postpone me to start in Jan 2019. I am so worried about timeline.

Thanks!

Ead/AP are the same document. Mine took 8 months lol. If you have a job offer, request an expedite.

Not always the case, I received my AP after 7 months and EAD after 8 months

Wow interesting! I guess it must happen to a few people. Seems pretty rare though.

It seems to me for now, if you don't have an offer, they will just assume you don't need the EAD hence keep deplaying your EAD.

I already requested but they said job offer is not in the criteria for expedite request. 😭😭😭

What??? Many people get their EAD's expedited if they have a job offer.

The actual expedite criteria is "severe financial loss to company or person". usually a job offer alone meets this, but sometimes they want to see actual evidence of the loss. At the same time, expedites are always at the IO's discretion.

Ooooh I see. Darn that's annoying cause I've read so many success stories for expediting EAD's. Maybe OP could try again on a different day by talking to a different rep??
