Once age discrimination is done away with this will be an issue of amusing historic interest only.

Wow, this may be the most jacked up post I’ve read on this site yet.  I’d report you, but I’m in shock and hoping I am simply misunderstanding you???

I know right. I never had a problem meeting women in my own country. She must think us a bunch losers.

And ps this is far from the most jacked up post ever and she is harmless

Ok, so “most jacked up post” on this site was a stretch.  I think it caught me by surprise because of who posted it more so than what was said.

And we ARE a bunch of losers.  Old, misogynistic, racist, xenophobic, antagonistic.  But are we... manthers, as well???

My wife married me because I make Brad Pitt look homely and Warren Buffett has been known to borrow money from me as well as taking my stock tips.

I bumped into my wife while seeking a more age appropriate partner, I'll consider it as kismet and not lose sleep over it.

I am also of the opinion that no I'll intent surrounds the commentary in this thread

Harmless eh?  Btw I in no way meant nor think I even remotely implied that any of you guys had problems finding a woman in your own country. Nor would be the case for myself I would think. I didn't go seeking out my husband... call it fate, call it luck, call it... well I dunno. It just happened rather by accident and by chance. I would think it would be wrong to say that some men on this forum didn't try a dating site to find a compatible lady (I've seen plenty admit to that) but that also some men on this forum also just happened to in whatever way found their significant other by chance or some other circumstances.

If I am following correctly, several guys with younger wives are taking exception to a statement saying there are plenty of older men with younger wives. I wish I hadn't slept through my psychology class. I might have followed this better, cause it seems kind of silly.

For the record my wife is older than me although she looks younger.  Regardless, I still want to know if a 16 year old can change their age legally?

Indeed. Yuna's post didn't refer to (or imply that) everyone here is in a relationship where one spouse is significantly older than the other. It appeared to be an observation as far as I was concerned, and nothing really stereotypical about it. There are several members here who have younger spouses. It is a statement of fact.

Why ask a question that you already know the answer to?

Back to the original topic.  As a Dutch person I can tell you this dude is off his rocker. He's a somewhat celebrity that made his fame with positivity classes. He was amusing at first but became very annoying very quickly. I think he went bankrupt, divorced, remarried 20 a girl years younger and got divorced again losing everything he had. He is a sad sad man. I pity him.

You are not following correctly then.  It was only me that took exception to the messed up statement that was made.

Didn't know this.  Thanks very much for the enlightenment.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Thanks for the details.  Yes, when I first heard about this, he did come across as a very vain character.
