Seems she never submitted a I 864, well a complete one, hence nothing happened.

Oops, not a complete one, well you can write to the officially withdrawing it.

The I-485 is their application so you can't do anything about it. But it requires an I-864 from you as a required document, which is something you can pull.

You can write a letter to withdraw the I-130 as well.

So what must I tell them I want to withdraw because I only have the receipt number. I don't remember what I file exactly and the other person has the documents.

So wouldn't this mean the application should have been denied due to failure to submit to required documentation on time? Can't imagine how they even got an interview when there was no I-864.

The only receipt number I have is the one to check the case. 797c or something like that have the case receipt number on it.

Sounds kinda like your spouse already got a greencard in the meantime as most of those documents are easily gathered, no? I cannot imagine, as a new greencard holder, being asked to send in the documents so I can get my greencard, and then not doing this. I would have done that immediately.

Therefor I wonder if they already got their greencard. How certain are you that they did not get it and just never mentioned it? Especially if you do not know where they live, they could have changed the mailing address.

If your marriage was going so poorly that you not only have no clue where they live, but that you also actively want to prevent them from acquiring a greencard to stay in the country, then I can imagine them not mentioning it to you.

I'm just gonna send a letter to cancel the whole thing.

Sounds good. You should atleast remember if you signed an I-864 Affidavit of Support. That's the only thing you can withdraw if your spouse was on the Adjustment of Status phase.

But you can't withdraw a I-864 once the beneficiary has the green card right? Just checking.

But wouldn't the status say issued or something like that?

Assuming that the green card was given, yes.

Correct. Once the I-864 is executed, you're on the hook until they become a USC, die, lose LPR status, or earn 40 quarters of SS work credits.

That said, the OP states that they never got a green card / AOS approval. Although 2.5 years after the interview for that is really odd...presumably it would have been either approved or denied by now.
