Now that's funny.

However, chances are better than even that he'll run for President in 2020, I think.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

You can.  Click on the FB pic, and it should open on that page.  Then right/long click the pic, and open in new tab.  Then copy that huge nonsensical link and paste it here as its own line, and the pic will embed automatically.

Where in da PI were you?

Thanks I just did it.

I spent my first week in Coron and El Nido, then I spent two weeks in Davao City area,  and my final week I hung out in Manila area since it was all saints weeks and getting a ticket to the province was an pain.

Nice.  How was Palawan?  Is your spouse from there?  Haven’t been yet, but wonder what it would be like for a retirement home.  Any info would be appreciated.

The Democrat party thought Cruz was vulnerable and spent millions of dollars on the Beto campaign.  If they had sensed that Cruz's seat on the senate was solid, they wouldn't have bothered to lift a finger to help Beto at all.

Politics and destroying your rivals is all about surveying the landscape much like a pride of lions surveys a herd of wildebeests.  You don't go after the dominate and strongest of your rivals, you pick off the injured and vulnerable.

Yes, She is from Bicol Region.

I made this trip solo and toured.  Palawan is a nice place, I don't think I could retire there. Most of it is super province, which means boring boring boring.   I have made 5 trips to Palawan in last 10 years, I really enjoy the beach at Sabang where Sheridan Hotel is.  Best beach I have seen in Philippines, but small.  White sandy beach, no rocks or coral and waves.  But that place is super province, roll up everything when the sun goes down.

This trip I went to Coron and El Nido since I had heard so much about it.  From Manila I took CebuPac prop plane to Busuanga airport about 30 minutes from hotel zone for Coron.  I paid 200 peso for a van trip from airport to hotel area. I bought round trip ticket good and had a return date 7 days later.  I figured I would get there and figure out where to stay and what to do.

Coron is super province as well, night time roll up the streets, very limited night life.  Overall town is small and dirty, If you want to see the beaches and island hop you pay around 1200 to 1800 peso for a all day tour which includes lunch and you take small boats to each islan on the tour.

I got bored quickly there, I was expecting much more.  There is a ferry / super shuttle type that for 1760 peso each you can take a 4 hour boat ride doing about 30 mph to El Nido.  I went to El Nido where they do have more night life, and did the island hop tour there.

I will say I have no desire to go back to either destination, I couldn't live in Palawan, I could visit Sabang beach any time, but not stay there long time.

This was my 15th trip in the last 10 year, I try to go twice a year but since Trump was elected the economy has boomed and I haven't had time to leave, but it has been 3 years since I had been to PI.

My nephew just retired to Davao City area, and I spent quite a bit of time there and in the past that is where I have always spent my down time. I could live there.  I purchased a motorbike back in 2011 and he moved there 3 months ago and he purchased a motorbike.

We drove to General Santos from Davao took about 2 hours, I will say I was quite impressed with what I saw at Gensan, but didn't have enough time to explore city fully.  It is  well developed city, with nice infrastructure and large 6 lanes highways going to it from Davao City, Except in the mountains.
