...and if OP doesn't file I-765/I-131 for parents, then the 'happiness" may last even longer - AOS is currently taking up to/over  a year.

it's never known  what our future  holds for us.

What if there is some kind of 'emergency' situation back in home country and they can't travel for who  knows how long?..

You are  right. I should do at least I-131 with AOS as there is no fee anyways.

They will need a medical, some of it may be covered under their Medical Insurance and you will be there Sponsor. Need to fill in the I 864.

look into medical insurance too, it will be 5+ years before they will be eligible for medicare (I believe) and out of pocket medical expenses can be quite expensive, better safe than sorry

Do not think they would be eligible at the moment for Obamacare, should be able to buy something.

Seems to me, and I am no expert, that it comes down to if USCIS can prove you misrepresented yourself in order to get into the country. I.E. the person above entered the as a tourist but had the light bill put in his name the same day in order to show bonafide relationship. Obviously that would be misrepresenting yourself at the border, versus someone came with the intent to stay but played it cool for a while and pretended to be a tourist for 90 days or whatever. If everyone gets what I am saying.

This is the reason why it's getting harder and harder for people from certain countries to get a visitor visa. And they complain about discrimination. :)

To OP, you can find information on USCIS website.

Also, if they have worked less than 30 quarters, they will each pay $422 per month for Medicare Part A plus the premium for Part B. So it can be quite expensive.

You can only post so many times as a newbie and people bounced onto the hating bandwagon.  I'd be surprised if the OP ever uses that account again if they come back.

People started commenting on posts that are unrelated to this thread or the OP too.

Agreed.  The OP asked for help as to get started with the AOS, they were told to review the guides, etc.  All-in-all, I think the OP's question was answered for the most part except that they, the OP, will need to fill out the I864 for their parents, but they should see that in the guides.

To the OP, Good Luck.

As to the other post, I was just making a comment that it is a bad idea to assume a result from a peripheral thread that shows no conclusion.
