@greenbaum is that the case with Jamaica? i read all of what you pointed out but did not see that for Jamaica.. I did see others who moved quite quickly and asked but no specific response such as the wisdom and details you always share.

I am not sure about whether you can take the short cut or you need to wait for your embassy. From reading the information that I sent you it looks like you can. I would email them and ask for a copy of the P3 to be sure you are using the "official" and latest copy. If you get the P3 can you PM me here on VJ and post a link to the P3 PDF file. I appreciate it.

Also, have you been to the links for those who started a forum on Jamaica and or the sub-forum here on VJ?

I just emailed the Jamaica embassy and they responded within 15 mins.  They asked for us to wait for

"The NVC will send the Affidavit of Support (AOS) Processing Fee Bill Invoice (if applicable) and the Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee Bill Invoice when the fees become due. You must follow the payment instructions in the fee bill letter you will receive from the NVC.

Note:  It is important to follow the NVC’s instructions carefully. Sending the NVC documentation (or paying fees) when they were not requested by the NVC will delay your visa."

Unfortunately, they are sending you instructions for the CR-1 marriage visa and not the K-1. I'd try and again and ensure they understand that you are a K-1. If that doesn't work then calling and talking to a live person may render better results. But at least you got a reply.

@greenbaum will try calling but my subject line was "K1 interview question". Was happy to get a quick response.

It took about 2-3 weeks for me to get my case number and that was with me calling - about a month total to get the email that my case has been sent to the Embassy. I would call.. their system updates around midnight every night so I called everyday until I was  told they have my case and gave me my case/invoice number. Hope that helps

Can someone please give me an idea if the time frame I have is normal for my package at NVC? Our application was approved October 15, 2018. As of today, I have not yet heard from the NVC or had a new case number assigned. My fiancee is very concerned that something has gone wrong or that it has been lost. I am trying to figure out if this is a normal time frame. I know they say it could take up to six weeks for NVC to receive the application and another eight weeks for them to process it, but to me that seems excessive. Is there any way I can check to see if it has been sent?  I just need to have some anxiety alleviated.

Oct 5 noa2 NVC # on Nov 2nd.

Give it about 30 days I say
