The NOA1 letter will be on it's way shortly. Your check should be cashed in the next day or so. The holidays may have something to do with the tardiness of the check being cashed. Just hang in there, everything is normal.

...

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Thank you! The check was cashed on Friday so we are waiting for the NOA1 paper to arrive (I want to get it before I visit him in ase of any questions at the passport contol).

Profile completed! :)

We sent our packet via UPS on the 21st, it was delivered on Friday 23rd, to the Lewisville´s facility Guard named Edwards lol that´s all we have for now :)

Next you can check your bank account to see if the check has been cashed then at that time you'll know they surely have it and now the :clock:begins.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

One last recommendation is to go to the beginning of this thread and read each of the posts so that you are caught up. Then when you come back read the post's that have been added since your last visit here to VJ. Keeps you up to date and you don't ask the same questions that others have asked over and over.

Good luck.

Late to join but I'm part of this group too. Sent on Nov 22 and should arrive within a day or two. UPS's plane had a mechanical failure and the package got stuck in Alaska for a couple days, so I'm off to a good start I guess.

Here's my recent timeline for those interested:

8/3 - Adjustment of Status Interview

8/3 - Status Update: New Card is Being Produced

8/5 - Status Update: Case Was Approved

8/20 - Status Updated: Card Was Mailed To Me

That's not a case number, it's referred to as a receipt number. If you refer to it as a case number you will confuse people. You don't get a case number till your file reached NVC who does the assigning of the case number. Just keeping it real.

Thanks for updating your profile. There is a sub forum for china if you want to be involved and see and hear what others are experiencing prior to your interview. Could help with avoiding any pitfalls.

Save it. You will use that number at https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do (also known as "old" site) or new site to check the status for next 7 months.
